Greater Vancouver Bangladesh Cultural Association (GVBCA) is a non-profit cultural organization in Vancouver, BC. It was established in 2002 with the merging of two organizations (Canada Bangladesh Cultural Association of BC established in 1988-89 and Bangladesh Cultural Association of BC established in 1992-93). The main purpose of this organization is to promote our national heritage, culture and linguistic history of Bangladesh in the multicultural society of Canada.
The aims of this Greater Vancouver Bangladesh Cultural Association - GVBCA group are to
- Encourage community engagements
- Provide support to the community
- Disseminate information about important issues
- Build a strong and connected Bangladeshi community in BC
The group would not allow
- Any abusive or disrespectful language
- Derogatory behavior to any race, religion and gender
- Any political discussion involving Bangladeshi politics.
- Promoting anything illegal
- Any topics that can create division
Depending on seriousness, any of the above are ground for removal of any member from the group.
Admins moderate the forum. They make decision using prudence and reasonable judgment in good faith. They have discretion to delete a post when justified. Admins may chose to notify the poster of their decision.
